ABOUT THE ROLE You will serve as a positive role model to your team, fostering a culture of collaboration and promoting the ongoing development of staff, while ensuring the highest standards of patient-centred care are consistently delivered during surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include: Working cohesively and with initiative within a multidisciplinary team; Educating junior staff within the specialty; Managing and organising Plastic Surgery requirements for the department, including equipment, instruments, loan sets, and implants; Delivering evidence-based, high-quality clinical nursing care; Liaising with management, key stakeholders, and all staff; Supporting management while positively embracing change and new initiatives; Working effectively within a team environment while managing time efficiently in a fast-paced setting. REQUIREMENTS Current AHPRA registration; Minimum 5 years' recent theatre nursing experience; Previous experience working within a peri-operative environment, and/or surgical nursing; Sound understanding of relevant standards and legislation; Sound knowledge of ACORN standards / ACHS Accreditation Standards; Strategic-minded thinker; Ability to engage with all members of staff; Excellent communication style - written and verbal; Ability to meet deadlines; Work collaboratively with the management team; Proficient in electronic databases and the ability to adapt to changing platforms; Knowledge of labour management / KPIs.
